In addition, the Plant Room was re-piped, and there were alterations to the automatic control system. Click here to view more images.
All Saints Church, West DulwichIn June 2000, this magnificent 19th century church was almost destroyed in a fire, which left only the walls intact. The church has now been fully restored, with a modern flavour. We were responsible for the new mechanical services installation, incorporating radiators, underfloor heating, fan convectors, trench heaters, ventilation and heat recovery air handling units. The National TrustHistoric buildings have special needs, all of which must be fully considered at design stage to ensure that any additions are in sympathy with the style of building. Not only must special care be taken in routing services without causing undue disturbance to the fabric of the building; temperature gradients and humidity must be properly controlled to protect the artefacts, as well as providing comfort to the occupants. We are pleased to be associated with The National Trust and regularly work with them, providing breakdown, maintenance and installation services for these very special buildings. Vehicle Showrooms and WorkshopsShowrooms and workshops are generally best heated using warm air. Often the addition of 'trench' or 'perimeter' heating below windows can be very effective in providing extra comfort. Warm air may be ducted, and distributed by diffusers at high level or, alternatively, provided by one or more suspended or freestanding heaters. In a showroom there is frequently a need for cooling through the summer months, and this can be achieved via the selected air distribution system, whether ducted or individual units. Photographs show our installations at Dick Lovett Ferrari Swindon, and TH White Land Rover in Wootton Bassett. Click here to view more images.
